When health benefits and comfort don't really matter
Seen a guy with these on the other day at the Gym, all I could do was shake my head and say C'mon Man.

Bently: Day in the Life
"When you are on your job do you call your wife before you make decisons or do you just make decisions? When you are going to a mans store and you're getting dressed you don't need to be calling your wife."

Another Unintentional Flip - The Cycle
I gambled on this Used Navy J.Crew Peacoat off of eBay for $40, it fit quite right but one mans ill-fitting coat is one mans can be like a tailor made coat to another. Morale of the story: Everybody wins when thrifting! More pics (here).

The Art of Reuse
The Inspirational story of Thrift-shoppers turned business-men(and women)
Even as a relatively new "thrifter" I've already had similar conservations with people about some of the same observations and experiences that the guys from The Art of Reuse are sharing about in the video. You can save a ton, you can find rare items, it can become addictive, and you can get caught up in the labels...well anyway check out the documentary it may inspire the hesitant to take a stab at "Treasure Hunting"!"Generally (thrift stores) can be disorganized, “dirty” and most people don’t have the patience to discoverthe gems that lie beneath the surface of that perception. On second hand (pun intended) there’s population who don’t shop thrift solely because they just don’t know it exists. At the height of the world’s economic downturn, The Art of Reuse seemed to have a unique remedy that would not only change how thrift is viewed; they’d create a whole new consumer in doing so."

A Tip/Suggestion...
Since socks are essential and have a function they are automatically exempt from "douche bag-clothing" and can double as an accessory and make a subtle statement (depending on your pant break) .Instead of paying an average of $25 per pair (!) you can get your striped, argyle, and bold solid socks for under $2 (!) per pair by Merona (79% Cotton/19% Polyester/2% Spandex Blend) at Target in-store only-3 for $5 or 1 pair for $2. Check out other surprisingly stylish options at Target (here).

Black Saturday: My Latest Finds
Black Saturday
Two days following Thanksgiving Day in which Consignment shops and some thrift stores have quite frankly, unnecessary sales; in attempts to turn a profit or get "in the Black." Fortunately for deep bargain shoppers, unlike Black Friday there is no alarm setting, long periods of standing, elbow throwing, trampling, or doors being "busted" down...it's just another day in the Thrift Shop [citation needed] - Ok, I'm joking.
