Best Dressed from NBA Draft 2010
The Top 5 Best dressed Lottery Picks from the 2010 NBA Draft (I realize the Draft was a few weeks ago but it was too tough to quickly bounce back after that game seven loss by the C's).
5. DeMarcus Cousins, Pick 5 to Sacramento Kings. The fifth pick comes in at number 5, getting style points for coordinating with his team's colors before he even knew who his team would be.
4. Al-Farouq Aminu, Pick 8 to Los Angeles Clippers. Not a big pool to choose from here, although he added a personal touch with the glasses, I'm not really a fan of the non-prescription (unless you're Spike Lee or Woody Allen it's guilty until proven innocent) big frame glasses even though they're "in".
3. Xavier Henry, Pick 12 to Memphis Grizzles. Although it's not pictured here he had the cleanest break of all the Lottery Picks. Two-button, nice fit, played it safe.
2. Paul George, Pick 10 to Indiana Pacers. The tightchain necklace held him back from the number 1 spot...actually the number one spot had something to do with it too.
1. Wesley Johnson, Pick 4 to Minnesota Timberwolves. On paper this outfit is all over the place, Tartan/Plaid Pants, Double-breasted Gold button Blazer, Green Polka-dot pocket square, Gordon Gecko contrast-collar shirt in yellow... but Wesy-Wes was able to pull it all together very nicely. Well done!

Six fashion/style/photography bloggers including Ronnie Fieg and Joshua Kissi are designing their own limited edition Sebago boat shoe which will be released this summer. It's called the Nexus Project and here's the trailor.
Check out the battle of the Sperry Top-Sider versus the Sebago Docksides over at Street Ettique. Here are a pair of Sebago boat shoes that I came across NWT for $26 at a consignment shop!

That No-Sock Look
I recently tried the shoes with no socks look with my boat shoes and chinos and while I prefer the look the Sunshine state heat poses a problem: foot perspiration. It's almost bad hygiene attempting to pull off this look here. The best solution: The Loafer Sock - no show socks which give that barefoot appearance, cut perfectly for boat shoes and loafers. The problem with some of the loafer socks is that they look like ballerina shoes. The so-called men's loafer socks from well respected brand Gold Toe (shown below) is an example.
I recently ordered a couple of pair from Banana Reublic who make an acceptable looking loafer sock and not just a liner (2 pair for $14 in black or white) making this the best way to pull off the look and avoid looking like this. Update: Mocc Sock & Co., is another great alternative.

Hold Your Horses! Name that other logo.
Although it's perfectly acceptable in my book I don't endorse being a walking endorsement, but if you prefer polo shirts with the stitched insignia on the chest switch it up. Here are some other options for your polo shirt outside of Ralph Lauren.
